Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team onsite. As a W2 contractor through Soliant Education, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives in a collaborative educational environment.

Position Overview

This full-time, onsite position offers W2 contractor benefits through Soliant Education, ensuring stability and professional growth opportunities. You will work closely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Work closely with students, parents, and support staff to develop and implement IEPs that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide Differentiated Instruction: Utilize varied teaching methods, materials, and technology to provide instruction tailored to diverse learning styles.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues and Parents: Work effectively with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess and Adjust Instructional Strategies: Continuously assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Maintain Accurate Student Records: Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education: A degree in special education is required. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Valid State Teaching Certification in Special Education: A valid state teaching certification in special education is required.
  • Understanding of Learning Disabilities and Effective Intervention Strategies: A strong understanding of learning disabilities and effective intervention strategies is essential.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
