Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as Park Rangers or State Park Maintenance Workers at Dinosaur State Park. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the park's facilities and providing exceptional visitor experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks related to park maintenance, including litter pickup, cleaning, mowing, raking, and painting.
  • Assist with program development and implementation, including operating the exhibit center, conducting lectures, classes, tours, field walks, and special events.
  • Clean and maintain animal enclosures, feed and care for animals, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties of the class, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in natural sciences or education for Park Rangers.
  • Experience in custodial work, landscaping, or a related skilled trade for State Park Maintenance Workers.

Working Conditions

Incumbents in this class must work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and be available for on-call duty as needed.
