Job Title: Psychologist

Highland-Clarksburg Hospital is seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our team. As a Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to adults, adolescents, and children.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for making assessments and interpretations based on biopsychosocial evaluations, psychometric tests, semi-structured interviews, therapy sessions, and neuropsychological assessment. They will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform psychological assessments, testing, and evaluation for adults, adolescents, and children.
  • Provide diagnosis based on assessments, testing, and evaluation.
  • Develop and recommend treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnosis.
  • Provide referrals when necessary for additional care evaluation or treatment.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to provide best care.
  • Complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all services are completed according to relevant ethical and professional standards of care.
Additional Duties:
  • Operate within ethical and professional standards of care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to evaluate the medical and physical conditions of clients.
  • Perform psychological therapies, risk assessment, training, and supervision.
Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in psychology with a minimum of three years' experience or Doctorate in Psychology with a minimum of two years' experience in providing psychological support to adult and child populations.
  • Experience in psychological testing.
  • Working knowledge of Forensic population is preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience as a psychologist.
  • Experience in mental health disturbance and/or dual diagnoses preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong working knowledge of diagnostic techniques and a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Familiarity with assessment techniques.
Certificates, License, Registration:

West Virginia Board of Examiners of Psychologists licensure. Must be Supervised, licensed or license eligible in WV.

Language Skills:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable as needed. Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively with patients and their families, employees, and public.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable as needed. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Ability to deal with a variety of personality types; remains calm during high stress situations.
