Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor

$77,220 - $111,540 / year
Overview:
The RN Unit Supervisor is a pivotal role that encompasses the management of nursing services and the supervision of social programming for all residents within the designated unit on a continuous twenty-four (24) hour basis. This position requires effective communication with physicians, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals, along with the management and evaluation of nursing staff performance, including hiring and termination processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation, execution, and assessment of individualized nursing care plans, ensuring alignment with interdisciplinary objectives to address residents' healthcare needs.
- Maintain a well-organized and safe environment for both staff and residents.
- Participate in all required meetings and in-service training sessions as directed by management.
- Propose and implement innovative ideas to enhance the quality of care and improve staff productivity and satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of recognition and involvement among staff for their exceptional contributions.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid state license and current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with at least one (1) year in a leadership capacity.
- Interest or experience in geriatric care is preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
- Experience working with dementia patients is advantageous.
