Pacu Technician

We are seeking a skilled Pacu Technician to join our team at Advocate Health. As a Pacu Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

• Perform advanced patient care tasks as delegated by the RN, including IV line insertion and removal, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
• Measure and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
• Collect and process patient specimens, maintain equipment, and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist with patient positioning, transporting, and preparing patient rooms for admission/discharge.

• Nurse Aide certification in good standing with the State Registry.
• Advanced training beyond high school in Nursing Assistant.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to set priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift.

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards. Protective clothing must be worn as necessary.
