Principal QA Engineer

We are seeking a Principal QA Engineer to join our team at Power Device Corporation in Bohemia, NY.
This role is 100% onsite and requires access to a cleanroom environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance engineering and experience working with high-reliability connectivity, power, and control solutions for aerospace, defense, and space industries.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial engineering, mathematics/statistics, or applied sciences, and at least 7 years of experience in quality assurance engineering. Six Sigma knowledge is highly desirable.
Responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and maintaining quality planning procedures
- Resolving quality issues/discrepancies
- Performing internal audits of department processes and procedures
The selected candidate will be responsible for understanding customer performance/quality requirements, measuring our performance against these requirements, and communicating to appropriate parties.
In addition, the candidate will analyze and investigate the root cause of non-conforming product deficiencies, review specification control drawings and generate quality plans, assist incoming inspection with material disposition, and review/approve engineering change notices, manufacturing processes, and SOPs.
The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $150,000 annually depending on experience.
