The Infection Preventionist (IP) plays a crucial role in overseeing the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) within our nursing facility. This position serves as a key practitioner, resource, consultant, educator, and facilitator for staff across various locations, concentrating on:
- Infection Prevention & Control Activities
- Outcome & Process Surveillance
- Outbreak Management
- Employee Health
As an Infection Preventionist, you will:
- Facilitate new hire orientation by delivering training on infection prevention and control.
- Design and implement educational programs tailored to identified infection control needs through Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives, rounding, and center quality measures.
- Develop, execute, monitor, and sustain the IPCP to enhance the quality of patient care concerning the investigation, control, and prevention of infections and communicable diseases within the nursing facility.

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure.
- Completion of specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
- A minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent nursing experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate employees on evening and night shifts.
- Type: Full Time
- Compensation: $43 - $45 per hour
