Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in performing all responsibilities associated with Material Handler I.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel for data entry and file management.
  • Ability to create and manage locations within the ERP system.
  • Experience in processing and printing barcode labels.
  • Maintain data integrity in Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Fill out complex forms in ERP systems.
  • Utilize various tools to investigate inventory discrepancies.
  • Employ critical thinking to locate lost inventory.
  • Optimize inventory storage for efficiency.
  • Utilize carrier-related software and prepare Bills of Lading (BOL).
  • Safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and scales.
  • Perform tasks that require repetitive motion, including bending and twisting.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
  • Forklift Certification as necessary.
  • Valid Driver's License as required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a material distribution environment and familiarity with computer and ERP systems.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily based in a standard office setting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Capability to lift up to 25 lbs independently and more with assistance.
  • Must possess visual acuity for task performance.

Environmental Considerations:

  • Exposure to potential hazards such as electrical currents and moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequent interruptions may occur.
  • Personal protective equipment may be required in certain situations.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional out-of-town travel may be necessary for training and meetings.
