Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for preschool-aged children to identify areas of strength and weakness.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings to promote student growth and development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support the child's development and educational goals, ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), adapting interventions to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on occupational therapy needs and interventions to inform educational planning.
- Offer consultation and training to teachers and staff on strategies to support students with occupational therapy needs in the classroom, promoting a culture of inclusion and support.
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in a school setting, with a strong understanding of early childhood development and learning.
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to adapt to changing student needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality services and supporting student success.
