Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimation Specialist who will be accountable for independently and collaboratively estimating and proposing project costs. This position requires a thorough analysis of blueprints, assessment of cost efficiency, and collaboration with stakeholders to achieve optimal project outcomes.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine project specifications and drawings to determine project scope and deliver precise quantity take-offs.
  • Evaluate labor and material costs based on historical data and current market rates.
  • Request bids, material pricing, and essential information from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to clarify project requirements and integrate their bids.
  • Employ estimating software to streamline bid development and takeoff processes.
  • Draft scopes of work, construction timelines, and General Conditions estimates.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Engage in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy discussions, and project initiation.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of estimating experience in commercial contracting is required.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and uphold core values.

Travel Requirements: Some travel may be necessary, but overnight stays are not expected.
