Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team in the Birmingham, AL area. As a key member of our accounting team, you will provide advanced support in various tasks, including complex data entry, invoice processing, and detailed bookkeeping.

About the Role
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, spreadsheets, and other accounting documents with a high level of accuracy and precision.
  • Maintain meticulously organized and up-to-date financial records, demonstrating a high degree of proficiency in record-keeping practices.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to reconcile discrepancies and resolve more complex accounting issues.
  • Play a lead role in the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.

This is a three-year assignment with a competitive estimated salary range of $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance options, short-term disability, 401(k), weekly pay, and more. Johnson Service Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, with a proven track record of handling advanced accounting tasks.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
