Primary Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Gulf Gate Family Medicine is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our primary care team. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary and great benefits.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the primary care setting and be able to manage their time effectively, multitask, and possess critical thinking skills. We are looking for a team player who can work collaboratively with our clinical team to maintain optimal client care and client health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses.
- Assess client health by interviewing patients, performing comprehensive physical examinations, obtaining medical histories, and reviewing previous records.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on healthy lifestyle choices and disease management.
- Prescribe medications and suggest lifestyle changes as needed.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies.
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with collaborating physicians/specialists regarding patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements:
- Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in the State of Florida.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR).
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
