Job Description:
We seek a highly motivated, energetic, and skilled black belt instructor who shares our mission and possesses a proven track record of effective supervision and management of youth, teaching martial arts techniques, building positive relationships, and ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily martial arts instruction to students aged 4-18 with varying skill levels
- Demonstrate martial arts techniques, explaining principles, observe and assess students' performance, and provide constructive feedback on their progress
- Supervise groups, focusing on behavior management, health and safety, security, and personal development
- Ensure student and team member safety, teach safe training habits, and enforce martial arts rules and regulations
- Create engaging lesson plans, utilizing creative approaches to deliver high-quality instruction
- Employ effective classroom management skills to lead activities, promote inclusivity, and foster a fun environment
- Collaborate with fellow Activity Specialists, work effectively with others, and serve as a positive role model for students
- Follow the Impact Dojo Code of Conduct and maintain a professional image at all times
- Exhibit Impact Martial Arts Core Values, adhere to company policies, and strive for excellence
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with children; examples include academic/athletic tutoring, camp counseling, or youth volunteering
- Martial arts teaching experience (1-5 years) required
- Teaching certification preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Be willing to travel, respond to emergency situations, and maintain good physical condition to execute job responsibilities.
Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
