Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Billings Clinic. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in collecting and preparing patient specimens for laboratory analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and prepare patient specimens, including blood, urine, and cultures, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate specimen collection with physicians and nursing staff, ensuring accurate patient and specimen identification.
- Utilize computerized systems to enter laboratory orders, patient charges, and generate reports.
- Provide instructions to patients regarding specimen collection to be completed in the home environment.
- Coordinate with patients and physicians regarding collection errors and initiate appropriate follow-up measures.
- Completion of Phlebotomy Certification course work or phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain competency in all organizational, departmental, and outside agency standards related to patient safety and job performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
