The Role

As a Quantitative Researcher at MarketAxess, you will play a key role in developing data solutions that enhance our suite of products, including data analytics, Tradability, and other data-driven solutions. You will utilize MarketAxess' proprietary platform data to analyze bond market activity and market micro-structure, and develop new models and reports to support our clients' success and grow MarketAxess' market share.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the MarketAxess Sales team to provide tailored data insights that enhance trading execution for clients and dealers.
  • Analyze bond market activity and market micro-structure, including MarketAxess' proprietary data.
  • Take ownership of existing research models and reports, and develop new ones to support our clients' needs.
  • Collaborate closely with global product and development teams to enrich data-driven trading solutions.

Requirements
  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools commonly used for quantitative analysis and data manipulation, such as R, Python, and SQL.
  • 3+ years of experience as a quantitative researcher in Fixed Income markets.
  • Deep understanding of fixed income market dynamics and ability to apply quantitative techniques to solve real-world trading problems.
  • Experience applying advanced Machine Learning and AI techniques (Deep Learning, Tree based models, Reinforcement Learning).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS and data visualization tools like Tableau is also highly desirable.

Salary Range
The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $110,000 USD to $165,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
