Job Overview

The Compunnel team is seeking a skilled Nursing Specialist to join our perioperative care team. This role requires delivering high-quality patient care in operating, procedure, and recovery rooms.

This position involves preparing the operating room with necessary sterile supplies and equipment, assisting surgeons during procedures, and applying sterile techniques throughout the surgical process. Additionally, the Nursing Specialist collaborates with the surgical team to ensure effective patient care and recovery post-surgery.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide perioperative care to patients, including pre- and post-surgery support.
  • Stock operating rooms with sterile surgical equipment, linens, and supplies.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for patients undergoing surgery.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including site cleaning and disinfection.
  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures using sterile techniques.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams on patient medication and post-surgery care.
  • Update patient files and medical records accurately.
  • Manage surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring proper ordering, maintenance, and storage.
  • Provide post-surgery care instructions to patients and answer questions.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in Cardiac Surgery.
  • Experience in circulating and/or scrubbing roles.
  • BLS and RN MA License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Level 1 trauma experience.
Certifications:
  • BLS, ACLS.
Salary: $120,000 per year
