Job Summary:The Cardiac Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the cardiac unit. This includes assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
- Provide high-quality patient care in the cardiac unit
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Manage patients with complex cardiac conditions
- Develop and implement education programs for patients and families
- Minimum 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required
- Traveler experience required unless traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience
- Skills: Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Sheath Removal, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, External CPAP/BIPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management
