The Decision Sciences Department at Western Washington University invites applications for a vacancy pool from which candidates will be selected to fill full and part-time, non-tenure track positions. These positions may become available at any time and are typically filled as they become available.
Position Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in Decision Sciences, including management information systems, manufacturing and supply chain management, and quantitative methods.
- Develop and maintain a high-quality curriculum that aligns with the department's mission and goals.
- Engage in scholarly activities, such as research and publication, to contribute to the department's and university's reputation for academic excellence.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, including those from underrepresented groups.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and professional development activities.
- MBA or master's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, management information systems, or operations research.
- Evidence of effective teaching skills and performance, including student evaluations and peer reviews.
- Academically or professionally qualified in accordance with college and AACSB standards, including a strong record of scholarly publication and professional engagement.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse students, faculty, and staff, and to teach an increasingly diverse student population.
- PhD in a relevant field, such as business administration, management information systems, or operations research.
- Evidence of teaching experience and effective teaching performance at the undergraduate level, including student evaluations and peer reviews.
