At Placentia-Linda Hospital, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and a safe environment for our patients and staff. We are seeking a skilled Constant Observer to join our team in the Emergency Department.
Job SummaryThe Constant Observer will provide continuous observation of identified patients, assisting with activities of daily living and providing basic nursing care under the direction of the registered nurse in charge. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide continuous observation of identified patients
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Provide basic nursing care, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols
- Formal nurse assistant course and/or one-year nurse assistant experience preferred
- CA Certified Nurse Assistant
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
- Non-violent crisis intervention/verbal de-escalation course within 3 months of hire
