Ryder System has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Class A CDL truck driver to join our team. As a home daily Class A CDL driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers in Vermont and New Hampshire while enjoying a regular Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends or overtime required.

We offer a competitive salary of $1700-$1800 per week, depending on your experience and performance. In addition to your base pay, you can earn extra money through our mileage and stop pay programs.

This is a solo truck driver position, which means you will be driving alone and will be responsible for your own safety and the safety of others on the road. You will start your day between 7:00 PM-8:00 PM and dispatch from Barre, VT.

To qualify for this position, you must have a valid Class A CDL license and at least 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years. You should also be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Our trucks are 36 months or newer and include 24/7 roadside maintenance and company drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide. Requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
