Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Healthcare Support Specialist is responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care services, as well as executing technical tasks as delegated by a Registered Nurse or Clinical Team Leader. The specific responsibilities may differ based on the designated department.


Experience:

Preferred candidates will have 1-3 years of experience in roles such as nursing assistant, EKG technician, phlebotomist, or other relevant healthcare positions.


Education:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates who have completed a Patient Care or Multi-skilled Technician certification program will be given preference.


Licenses and Certifications:

Certification in American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider is mandatory. Additional certifications such as Nurse Aide, EKG, and/or Phlebotomy are preferred.


Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and arrhythmia recognition.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- A collaborative spirit and a reliable, organized work ethic.
- Competence in using hospital information systems and a strong command of English for reading and writing.


Populations Served:

This role involves working with a diverse adult population, including:
- Early Adults
- Middle Adults
- Late Adults
- Seniors (Over 80 years old)


Work Schedule:

This is a Per Diem position with shifts from 2 PM to 7 PM.
