As a Case Manager - Foster Care, you will be responsible for the placement of children in foster homes, maintenance of children while in the foster home, dismissal and follow-up of children upon leaving the foster homes, supervision and training of the foster parents, and provision of casework services to birth families and/or children in foster homes.

This role requires a strong understanding of complex trauma and the ability to implement strategies to guide families to help children through trauma. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a human service or behavioral science field, with a minimum of two years' experience working with children and families. You will be computer literate, including word processing and excel spreadsheets, and possess good communication and writing skills.

This position is located at a Wellroot assigned office, and the work is conducted in an office setting and across the campus. You will be required to maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and participating in service and permanency planning for each family on your caseload \t
  • Participating in quarterly quality assurance peer monitoring of children's and foster parents' records \t
  • Entering required data in the state's GA Score systems, meeting monthly deadlines \t
  • Entering and annually gathering data used for the agency's annual report \t
  • Understanding and practicing the use of appropriate confidentiality \t
  • Following agency personnel and program policy \t
  • Being a positive factor in public relations by representing the agency well in contact with visitors and people from the community \t
  • Performing other duties as delegated by the Foster Care Supervisor or Program Manager \
