Facility Maintenance Technician

Primary Responsibilities:

This list of tasks is not exhaustive and may be expanded to include additional responsibilities based on operational requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness of hallways, glass surfaces, restrooms, and common areas, including the disposal of waste materials.
  • Prepare and clean vacant units for incoming residents, along with performing minor repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the grounds, collecting litter and debris.
  • Oversee the daily maintenance of the property office and shared spaces within the buildings.
  • Follow the established dress code as per management guidelines.
  • Utilize protective gear when necessary and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) standards and company safety regulations.
  • Keep janitorial storage areas tidy, organized, and secure.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by a supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in custodial or grounds maintenance is required.
  • Dependability and trustworthiness are essential.
  • Ability to perform light maintenance tasks is necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of janitorial services and building upkeep is advantageous.
  • During winter, responsibilities may include snow and ice management, with availability for on-call duties if needed.
  • Capability to maintain cleaning equipment in a safe and functional state.
  • A valid US driver's license and the ability to operate a vehicle are required.
  • Personal vehicle usage is necessary.
