Job Summary:This is a part-time night shift position that requires the ability to provide comprehensive obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care to patients. As a NICU Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, planning individualized care, and maintaining a therapeutic environment while handling various medical equipment.
About the Role:We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated nurse who can work well under pressure and function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the area. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of perinatal/NICU healthcare delivery and be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive assessment on all patients within the appropriate time of admission
- Plan the patient's care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems and attainable outcomes
- Handle/transports/stores/prepares/administers medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures
- Document accurately and timely
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six months of hire
- A competitive salary of $85,000 per year
