Life Skills Coach Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Life Skills Coach to join our team at Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma. As a Life Skills Coach, you will play a vital role in providing behavior management, redirection, and remedial training to residents of our Urgent Recovery Center.

Responsibilities:
  • Observe, record, and report health symptoms, behavior, and activity of residents, as evidenced by charting, escorting residents, and assisting with activities of daily living.
  • Provide activities of daily living supervision and take vitals of assigned residents.
  • Intervene in crisis situations, utilizing verbal intervention effectively and physical interventions as needed.
  • Provide educational and life skill training during individual and group activities according to resident's crisis and treatment plans.
  • Maintain close communication with the rest of the treatment team and keep others informed as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide resident supervision and identify strengths and needs of the youth.
  • Ability to resolve conflict and manage challenging behaviors.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of disorders/diagnoses of childhood and developmental stages of childhood and family.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the effects of trauma on the child and family.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with efficiency and consistency.
