Job Opportunity:

You'll be working as a skilled Nursing Care Specialist in Shreveport, Louisiana. This is an exciting opportunity to join TotalMed's team as a Critical Care Transition Coordinator. As a Medical-Surgical Unit Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care for patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.

About the Role:

This position requires a nurse with experience in the step-down unit. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and assessing patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status. You'll administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educating patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques is also essential. Effective communication with healthcare team members is vital to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have a current RN license, BLS certification, and at least two years of recent Step Down experience.
