Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join their team in Worcester, MA. As an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist, you will provide home and community-based services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct multidisciplinary team assessments of client's developmental status.
  • Provide direct services and activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and their families.
  • Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with goals, objectives, and strategies related to the child's development.
  • Complete progress notes, reports, and assessments as required.
  • Provide individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or at risk for delays.
  • Assess family and child strengths, resources, concerns, and progress.
  • Act as service coordinator for the family, scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan.
  • Provide supportive professional assistance to families and facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child development.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts.
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families is preferred.
  • Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
  • Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
  • Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills and strong documentation skills.
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual/Bicultural a plus.
