Job Overview:

The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Assistant or Associate Professor (open rank) with a focus on transplant nephrology.

As a transplant nephrologist, you will be responsible for fulfilling the core missions of academic medicine, which include:

  1. Teaching: You will train nephrology fellows, residents, and medical students, providing them with comprehensive knowledge of the renal system and the intricacies of the transplant process.
  2. Research: You will engage in collaborative research efforts, particularly in clinical trials, ensuring that nephrology fellows are actively involved in the research landscape.
  3. Patient Care: Your clinical expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality care to patients.

The ideal candidate must possess board certification or eligibility in nephrology, have specialized training in transplant nephrology, and hold a valid medical license in Kentucky. Compensation and academic rank will be determined based on the candidate's experience.
