Nashoba Regional School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Counselor to join our team.
Job Summary:The School Counselor will provide guidance and support to students, staff, and families to promote academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing concerns and behaviors that impact school life.
- Develop and implement social-emotional learning programs to promote student growth and maturity.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student success and address student needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
- Make referrals to community resources and services as needed.
- Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices and research-based interventions.
- Massachusetts DESE licensure as a School Counselor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
The School Counselor will work in a typical classroom or office environment, with occasional exposure to moderate noise and distractions.
Salary and Benefits:The School Counselor is a Nashoba Regional School District Unit A position, with salary and benefits determined by the Unit A collective bargaining agreement.
