As a Clinical Psychologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our members. This position requires a strong foundation in psychological testing, counseling, and evaluations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment and Diagnosis: Administer, score, and interpret psychometric and projective tests, as well as other psychodiagnostic techniques and behavior observations, to assess patients' mental health needs.
- Treatment and Intervention: Provide evidence-based treatment to adults, adolescents, and children, including individual and group therapy, counseling, and behavioral interventions.
- Case Management: Conduct initial interviews, gather and review relevant information, and determine the urgency of patients' needs. Develop and implement treatment plans, and provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of patient progress.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and collaboration.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in clinical psychology, participate in ongoing education and training, and contribute to the development of clinical programs and services.
- Education: Doctorate degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical or counseling psychology.
- Experience: Two or more years of post-graduate experience in a behavioral health setting, or a pre-doctoral internship, post-doctoral internship, or fellowship at Kaiser Permanente.
- Licensure: Psychologist License (California).
- Internship: Internship in an APA-approved program.
This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week. The schedule includes Tuesdays (9:00am-5:30pm), Thursdays (8:30am-5:30pm), and one of either Mondays (1:00pm-4:30pm) or Wednesdays (1:00pm-4:30pm). The primary location is the Orange Rehabilitation Pavilion.
