Job Title: Low Voltage Cable Technician

Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Cable Technician to join our team at NSA Panama City, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, terminating, and testing low voltage cabling systems, as well as ensuring compliance with industry standards and company-approved installation methods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and terminate low voltage cabling systems, including card readers, door contacts, motion detectors, and intercoms.
  • Test and label end-user devices to ensure proper functionality.
  • Utilize industry standards and company-approved installation methods and techniques.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable AHJ codes and industry standards.
  • Maintain open communication with direct superior to ensure work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.
  • 2+ years of experience in a tech role, with a focus on structured cabling, security, access control, CCTV, A/V, paging, and nurse call systems.
  • Reliable transportation and own hand tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Physical ability to stand, kneel, and crouch for extended periods, as well as lift in excess of 50 pounds.
Work Environment:

Work assignments may vary based on client requirements. Work may be performed inside a large facility or in the field, with varying environmental conditions.

Schedule:

Regular attendance following an established work schedule is mandatory. May be required to work any shift/designated hours required, including night and weekend shifts.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in small, confined spaces.
  • Must possess the capability to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended durations.
Equipment and Machines:
  • General office equipment includes PCs/laptops, telephones, copiers, servers, switches, routers, and other computer equipment that supports the network environment.
  • General field equipment includes hand tools, power tools, ladders, aerial/motorized lifts, and test equipment.
Travel:

Travel requirements will vary. A current passport is required for Overseas travel.

Other Essential Functions:
