Position Overview

Role Summary:

We are in search of a knowledgeable Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to contribute to a pioneering biopharmaceutical organization focused on innovative therapies within the cardiometabolic domain.

This role is field-based and offers flexibility in location across various territories.

MSLs play a crucial role in fostering professional relationships with healthcare providers through scientific dialogue to support molecules in clinical stages and those preparing for market launch. They engage with healthcare professionals to facilitate scientific exchanges and offer clinical and scientific assistance.



Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with cardiologists, endocrinologists, and other healthcare stakeholders to disseminate clinical and scientific knowledge that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Provide education on RNA interference technology, hypertriglyceridemia, familial chylomicronemia syndrome, dyslipidemia, and relevant clinical data to payers and providers as necessary.
  • Convey clinical and scientific insights to internal teams.
  • Participate in and present at scientific conferences to remain informed about the latest advancements in the relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Address unsolicited inquiries in accordance with MSL compliance protocols.
  • Implement MSL strategies that align with the overarching Medical Affairs framework.
  • Assist in company-sponsored clinical trials through engagement with investigators.
  • Facilitate speaker training as needed, ensuring speakers are well-versed in current disease and product information.
  • Support national, regional, and local scientific events, including engagement with Opinion Leaders, poster presentations, and company debriefings.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for scientific collaboration with Opinion Leaders and other pertinent stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate scientific literature, clinical trials, and the competitive landscape within the cardiometabolic therapeutic area.
  • Maintain expertise in clinical and scientific domains along with a solid understanding of industry dynamics.
  • Promote the MSL value proposition, demonstrating professionalism and achieving results.
  • Adhere to company policies, including the Code of Business Conduct and ethical standards.
  • Develop tailored Opinion Leader and account strategies, including profiles and follow-up plans.
  • Communicate clinical and scientific information clearly and accurately.
  • Document MSL achievements quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Provide scientific support for medical information inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Create scientific content for educational initiatives.
  • Assist Medical Affairs with special projects and initiatives as required.


Qualifications

Experience:

  • PhD, PharmD, MD, or DO degree is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as an MSL.
  • Experience in the cardiometabolic therapeutic area is essential.
  • Prior industry experience in medical affairs or clinical development within a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.

Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic work environment.
  • In-depth understanding of the cardiometabolic therapeutic landscape.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare delivery system and its implications for patient care and the pharmaceutical industry.
