Greeter/Cashier Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Greeter/Cashier at Newport Harbor Island Resort. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, greeting guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor, and handling cash transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome guests with a smile and create a positive first impression
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering inquiries and assisting guests with their needs
  • Efficiently handle cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the cashier station and lobby
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Offer suggestions and recommendations for nearby attractions, dining options, and activities
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach in resolving guest issues or concerns
  • Uphold the hotel/resort's brand standards and contribute to a positive team culture
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Read, write and speak English fluently
  • High energy and enthusiasm
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
