We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at Plainfield Correctional Facility. The Medical Assistant will work under the direction of the RN or LPN and be responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab tests, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor patient vital signs
Implement orders for diagnostic lab tests
Assist the Physician with minor procedures
Record EKGs
Maintain and clean medical equipment
Collect data for Quality Improvement programs

Requirements:

Current Indiana Medical Assistant license/certification
Experience working in the lab
Current CPR
Corrections experience preferred, not required
Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
