As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis.
Responsibilities- Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
- Set controls of the related equipment, monitor patient and equipment, and make adjustments as needed
- Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, start IVs, and inject contrast media if applicable
- Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans
- Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure, and label appropriately
- Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions
- Charge procedures and supplies used to the patient record
- Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration
- Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner
- Work effectively to maintain a safe work environment for staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives
