Job Title: Test Automation Lead with Banking Domain and Karate Framework Experience

Job Location: Pittsburg, PA/Dallas, TX

Overview:

As a Test Automation Lead at Synechron, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the quality and reliability of our banking and credit card applications. You will leverage your extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver, Java, API testing methodologies, and TestNG frameworks to design and implement robust automated test suites. Your banking and credit card domain knowledge will enable you to understand the complexities of financial transactions and the regulatory requirements affecting software development in this area.

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
  • Must have Karate framework experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design detailed test plans, and ensure comprehensive coverage for both UI and backend services.
  • Implement API testing strategies to validate RESTful services, including response codes, functionality, performance, and security.
  • Utilize TestNG to organize tests, manage test dependencies, prioritize, and produce detailed reports.
  • Work closely with the development team to integrate automated tests within the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in test automation practices and principles.
  • Analyze test results, identify, and document defects, and track the issues to resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends in test automation and banking regulations that might impact testing strategies or methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant banking and credit card industry standards during testing.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure test scripts are optimized for performance
Requirements:

You are:

  • 10 years of Selenium WebDriver and Java for test automation.
  • Solid understanding of banking operations, particularly credit card processing systems.
  • Expertise in Selenium WebDriver and Java programming.
  • Strong experience in API testing and automation using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
  • Familiarity with TestNG or similar testing frameworks.
  • Experience with source control and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
  • Any relevant certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.) are considered an asset.
