Key Responsibilities
  • Motivate and engage TK/K-6th grade students through social-emotional learning and enrichment activities such as STEAM, music, and Lego.
  • Lead lessons designed to increase excitement about learning and assist with homework completion and snack distribution.
  • Effectively manage student behavior (up to 20 students) with minimal assistance and ensure student safety during outdoor activities.
  • Work effectively with staff and embrace professional development to build skills and gain experience in an educational setting.
  • Serve as a positive role model to the students to build kids' self-esteem and emotional wellness.
Requirements
  • Have been successful working with elementary and/or middle school kids.
  • Understand and implement engaging lesson plans while maintaining accuracy and organization in activities.
  • Effectively support kids' behavioral management needs and connect with students to foster positive learning experiences.
  • Be approachable, empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with kids.
  • Present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model.
  • Be comfortable utilizing online platforms for training and resources.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with school administrators, parents, and fellow coaches.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States, complete and pass a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening.
  • 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching, child development, or other child-focused experiences strongly preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Willing to follow COVID-19 protocols outlined by the school.
