Position Overview:
As an Oncology Travel Nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Your expertise will be essential in managing complex patient needs, particularly in chemotherapy and other specialized treatments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and IV antibiotics.
- Respond to oncologic emergencies, including tumor lysis syndrome and cytokine release syndrome.
- Manage insulin and heparin drips while adhering to strict infection prevention protocols.
- Focus on patient safety, particularly in preventing falls.

Staffing and Scheduling:
- The ideal staffing ratio is 1:4, with a possibility of 1:5.
- Weekend shifts will vary based on unit requirements.
- Flexible scheduling is available; staff can submit their preferred shifts for consideration.
- Orientation includes a structured first week followed by hands-on training with a preceptor.

Patient Care:
- You will care for patients with diagnoses such as lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute and chronic leukemias, and sickle cell disease.
- Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of feeding tubes and IV therapy.

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in central line blood draws, peripheral line management, and PICC line care.
- Strong skills in starting IVs and administering blood products.
