Key Responsibilities:

As a Speech Language Pathologist, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting assessments and formulating treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
  • Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of treatment strategies, participating in team meetings, and engaging in family discussions.
  • Executing discharge assessments, providing recommendations for home and community safety, and offering educational resources.
  • Effectively communicating patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, and family members.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and improved patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
  • A valid Speech Language Pathology license in the relevant state(s).
  • Current CPR Certification as per state regulations.
  • A minimum of one year of professional experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injuries is preferred.
  • Effective and professional communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist in moving, lifting, or transferring patients, which may involve lifting up to 100 pounds while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Physical capabilities to perform duties requiring fine motor skills, visual acuity, and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Additional physical requirements may include pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning patients frequently.
  • A health screening or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, based on specific location policies and regulations.

Compensation:
