Urology Physician Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Urology Physician to join our team at Denver Health. As a Urologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions of the male and female urinary tract and of the male reproductive system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patient conditions and disorders of the genitourinary organs and tracts.
- Document and review patients' histories.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Use specialized equipment, such as X-rays, fluoroscopes, and catheters.
- Perform abdominal, pelvic, or retroperitoneal surgeries when necessary.
- Treat lower urinary tract dysfunctions.
- Prescribe and administer antibiotics, antiseptics, or compresses to treat infections or injuries.
- Prescribe medications for patients with erectile dysfunction, infertility, or ejaculation problems.
- Provide Urology consultations or referring patients to specialists.
- Direct nurses, residents, or other staff.
Requirements:
- Doctorate Degree Required
- Licenses: MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
- Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
- Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.
- Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems.
- Performs in a tactful and professional manner.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Computer skills required.
