Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Vascular & Interventional Radiology at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, and work collaboratively with physicians to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with vascular and interventional radiology-related conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement policies and procedures related to vascular and interventional radiology care.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Current registration as a Professional Nurse in New York and registration as a Nurse Practitioner in New York.
  • Certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., ANCC or Board Certification from other specialty organization that certifies Nurse Practitioners in a clinical area of practice).
  • At least five years of clinical nursing practice in the care of the patient population served.
  • Ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion, which addresses patient/family safety and satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a nurse practitioner.
  • Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, creative problem solving, and excellent critical thinking and leadership.
  • Ability to facilitate group processes and work cohesively and collaboratively as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
