About the Role

Rise Baking Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Excellence Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations leadership team, you will be responsible for driving performance and reliability improvements across our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute performance and reliability improvement plans to enhance production and maintenance operating systems.
  • Utilize Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean Flow methodologies to optimize asset and employee effectiveness.
  • Lead and facilitate mindset training programs to support reliability improvement plans.
  • Provide technical operations support for capital projects to ensure effective early management and vertical startup.
  • Manage new product commercialization initiatives for operations and serve as a technical liaison between functional groups.
  • Lead cost improvement efforts to ensure annual cost target achievement is met, specifically focused on manufacturing and operations.
  • Support plant leadership in annual operating and capital plan development.
  • Facilitate training to leadership and associates for key problem-solving and continuous improvement methodology tools.
  • Assist in creating and sustaining an environment of continuous improvement and fact-based decision making.
  • Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering, business, or finance or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering, preferably with food packaging and bakery equipment, packaging materials, and related manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Ability to lead and support multiple projects and strategic initiatives concurrently and independently.
  • Complex problem-solving and critical thinking skills, leveraging process-driven and root cause mentality.
  • Lean-minded thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of product quality, FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
