Surgical Instrument Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Tech II to join our team at Sutter Health.

The salary range for this role is $42.15 to $50.57 per hour, reflecting the importance of this position in ensuring optimal patient care.

This limited-term opportunity requires 26 weeks of commitment and involves varied shifts with a full-time schedule. The position demands excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks effectively within standardized operating procedures.

• Prepare the sterile field for surgical operations by setting up instruments, assisting surgeons in gowning and gloving, and draping patients.
• Directly support the surgical team during operations by passing instruments and supplies, holding retractors, and anticipating surgeons' needs.
• Distribute supplies, perform equipment maintenance, testing, and setup as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, enabling them to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences. Additionally, they should have a general knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
