Position Overview: The Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) Simulator Engineering (PSE) unit is engaged in the comprehensive design, production, testing, and delivery of advanced training systems to support the Next Generation Training Program (NGTP). This role offers a unique opportunity for an electrical engineer to contribute to transformative training solutions for the U.S. Navy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative systems such as simulated sound, communication, audio/video, and I/O architecture.
  • Ensure successful integration of these systems into the first-of-its-kind PPTT, enhancing Navy training for years to come.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver complex engineering solutions.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Program.
  • Proficiency in audiovisual and telecommunications systems.
  • Strong skills in evaluating and creating electrical designs based on established technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and proactive recommendations to management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
