Horseback Riding Instructor

We are seeking an experienced equestrian professional to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati as a Horseback Riding Instructor.

Are you passionate about teaching children and adults the art of horseback riding? Do you have a contagious enthusiasm and the ability to inspire others to learn and grow? If so, we'd love to hear from you

As a Horseback Riding Instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills with our members, teaching them the fundamentals of horsemanship and horse care. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, developing positive relationships with our members, and providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver horseback riding lessons to children and adults, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment, fostering a love of horseback riding in our members.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement horse-related programs, ensuring alignment with YMCA values and goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to member inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, participant progress, and equipment maintenance, as required.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, with high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification, with ability to obtain certification if needed.
  • Certified Horsemanship Association Instructor certification or equivalent, with ability to obtain certification if needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach horsemanship skills to children and adults, with experience in horse care and management preferred.
  • Ability to lift equipment and assist children, as needed, with physical stamina to handle the demands of the job.
