Commercial Carpenter Job Description

Stutman Contracting, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Carpenter to join our team. As a Commercial Carpenter, you will be responsible for various tasks including interpreting blueprints and construction drawings, measuring, cutting, and shaping materials according to specifications, building metal stud walls, and collaborating with other tradespeople and contractors on-site.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and apply construction drawings and blueprints
  • Measure, cut, and shape materials to specifications
  • Build metal stud walls, including framing, drywall, and drywall finish
  • Perform repairs and renovations as needed
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on-site
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
  • Install commercial doors and hardware
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Carpenter
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction drawings
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
