Key Responsibilities:
  • Process cash register transactions accurately, providing change and refunds as necessary.
  • Learn to operate registers, scales, scanners, and debit/credit terminals.
  • Become familiar with UPC codes, store signage, and various register keys and codes.
  • Handle deli ingredients, including meats, vegetables, fruits, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils.
  • Utilize scale printer machines to ensure accurate weights and pricing.
  • Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement, as well as the use of product shelf tags.
  • Maintain a clean and organized check stand/sales counter and production areas.
  • Prepare, wrap, box, weigh, slice, and stock deli/food service products, rotating them as needed to guarantee quality and safety.
  • Cook and prepare deli and food service items, including fried foods, salads, sandwiches, roller grill items, hot and cold beverages, and prepared meals.
  • Work safely around sharp slicers, tools, and hot ovens and burners.
  • Take guest orders, ensuring timely and satisfactory completion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Additional Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and/or evening shifts.
  • Must have 2 years of food service or retail management experience.
  • Reliable transportation and an active driver's license are required.
  • Serv-safe certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Comfortable working in walk-in coolers and freezers.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, twist, and frequently lift and maneuver merchandise and supplies.
  • Dexterity with hands and fingers is necessary for using equipment, including knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers, and rotisseries.
