Job Title: Allergy Team Physician Associate
VillageMD is currently recruiting for a full-time Medical Specialist for our Allergy team in White Plains & Rye, NY locations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical care to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed Allergist(s), and in accordance with approved, written practice supervision agreements and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and performs various medical services including medications, food challenges, Spirometry, allergy injections, and remote monitoring of patients.
- Assists with skin testing, intradermal testing, and patch testing as required.
- Develops and implements comprehensive patient care plans in conjunction with supervising physicians.
- Conducts patient assessments, physical examinations, and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines.
- Initiates necessary laboratory and diagnostic tests, interprets results, and confers with supervising physicians to ensure optimum quality of patient care.
- Responds to patient inquiries, answers questions, and refers questions to physicians as necessary.
- Documents all patient care services in the electronic medical record.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree and successful completion of an accredited physician assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by the state of Connecticut.
- Board certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in Allergy/Asthma.
- Strong knowledge of medical procedures and guidelines concerning assessment, treatment, and recovery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective conflict resolution skills.
- Patient-focused and committed to providing outstanding and compassionate care and service to all patients.
Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is between $118,000 and $135,000 per annum, depending on individual qualifications and experience.
