Clinical Supervisor/RN

Spectrum Health Companies is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Supervisor/RN to join our team at Ely Carefree Living, a Memory Care and Assisted Living community in Ely, MN. As a Clinical Supervisor/RN, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and departmental functions of our assisted living and memory care communities.
Key Responsibilities- Quality of Care and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the highest quality of care and regulatory compliance by providing oversight and direction to all levels of nursing staff.
- Nursing Process Implementation: Implement the nursing process, including assessment, case management, diagnosis, planning, goal setting, implementation, and evaluation, in the delivery of professional and paraprofessional services according to MDH licensing.
- Client and Family Support: Meet with clients and families to accurately complete all admission paperwork, explaining the home care plan and client/family responsibilities. Participate in care conferences as necessary.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Supervise and coordinate the maintenance of accurate and complete documentation of information on clients and staff under your supervision according to agency policy.
- Staff Supervision and Development: Delegate appropriate nursing functions according to State Licensure and agency policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with current county, state, and federal regulations affecting home health care.
- Continuous Quality Improvement: Actively participate in agency-wide activities and its continuous quality improvement program. Responsible for evaluating the home care program's level of excellence and implementing process improvement strategies as indicated.
- Safety and Risk Management: Develop and implement safety programs to ensure the well-being of residents, staff, and visitors, as well as avoiding injuries and financial loss.
- Marketing and Business Development: Market the wide range of health care services to potential clients and their families. Assist with/support marketing strategies to achieve financial stability through maximum census. Network with other community providers.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with third parties such as county social workers, hospital discharge planners, and others to assist in quality care and referral issues. Network with other community providers.
- Financial Management: Participate in the annual clinical budgeting process and work with the Executive Director in developing new and creative ways to grow revenue and maximize operational profits to achieve the organization's operating and financial objectives.
- Current RN licensure with assisted living housing experience preferred.
- CPR/BLS required.
- Must have a passion for working with seniors and providing excellent care and customer service.
- Excellent observation, verbal, and written communication skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Position requires computer use; knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office is required.
- Must have a Driver's License in good standing and the ability to drive to other locations.
- Selected candidate must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and will be subject to a DHS background study.
