Job Summary

Tate, Inc. is seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating laser cutting machinery to produce high-quality products. Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, program, and troubleshoot laser cutting machinery to ensure efficient and accurate production.
  • Conduct first-piece article inspections and documentation of part dimensions per engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines as directed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Understand and adhere to the company's quality program to optimize machine run time and ensure high-quality products.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years minimum experience in manufacturing.
  • 3 years minimum experience in operating, programming, or repairing laser machinery.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, dial indicator, and feeler gauges.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift.
